Basically im looking at getting a:

JBL GTO 75.4 520W 4 Channel Amplifier
http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product.asp?product=21965

104 watts RMS x 4 channel at 4 ohms
284 watts RMS x 2 channel at 4 ohms
3 channel mode: 2 x 104W RMS + 284W RMS for sub

Its for my next car which will have 2x components in the front and 2x full range speakers in the back.

This amp would match my JBL sub and amp which I already own!

If I brought for example these for the front:
Pioneer TSE 176C 220 Watts Component Speakers
http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product.asp?product=21039

Maximum Power 220 Watt
Nominal input power 60 Watt

1. Would the amp damage these speakers as the rms for the amp is 44watts more than the speakers?

Not sure what brand of speakers to buy yet? I have the rear ones, as they are the same size as the ones fitted in my Seicento at the moment.

2. Which brands are good for components? Looking at around £50-£75 for the front speakers.

The other option may be the JBL GTO 755.6 CAR AMPLIFIER MULTI 6 channel 560w AMP

60w RMS x 4 channels and 107w x 2 channels, at 4 ohms
