Amp Advice needed for 6x9 speakers

Really? Have you read anything on here? You stick 1000w through them and they will blow into as many pieces.
How much did you pay for them.

will a 500w amp support them?

Reason im only getting 6x9's fitted is because i have hardly any room in the back of the boot for a sub, double pram wont fit if a subs there so i thought only option for me is 6x9's until i get a few yr no claims and then upgrade my car to a bigger one then ill be able to get a sub and ditch the 6x9's, just wanted something better to add to the sound instead of just the standard factory speakers.

OK i can understand how sometimes 6x9's can have a practical use but i would buy them from a reputable make/
Are you talking RMS figures here. That is all we are concerned with.
If so then you are talking about trying to put the same amount of power that MTX recommend for my sub.

I would say put them on a 2 channel amp between 60-100w RMS x2.
