Styling Aluminium Dial Surrounds?

Sat in a friend's Audi today and noticed them and thought they looked pretty smart.
I know Lockwood make white dials and was thinking of getting some but the other idea would be to somehow get/make some allow rings to go around the dials. Any ideas on how to go about this?

well i knwo the bravo lot have done something similar, found a thread for a bit of info, maybe talk to wimmy or the main bravo people, and they may be able to offer advice etc

there were some on ebay a while back but at around £30+ were too much for my budget

Yeah, chromed parts tend to cost far too much IMO, have you though about colour coordinating your surrounds? I did a load yesterday and it looks great.
