Technical Alternator

Hi,
Does anyone know whether it is possible to replace just the bearing in the alternator or does the whole thing have to be changed? Any ideas where to get new alternator if it's the whole thing?

you can get or overhaul an alternater approx £25 ,£60+ approx for a new one
