Hi ,

I know you all prob sick answering questions about alloy's and lowering for punto's but ..

Well i've finally saved up for my alloys and im going for 16"s as i've read a lot about 17"s really slowing down the car. I just want my car to look nice with no hassle and low maintaince (sp). If i get 16"s will i be able to get it lowered nicely and for there to be no rubbing / funny wobble bolts / messing around!

What exact size should i ask for in the shop so i know im getting the right ones!

Cheers.

with 16s you should be able to lower it quite alot but if you dont want it too low id go for 45mm front and back (y)
id say 195/45/16 tyres but when you tell them what car its for they should know what tyres to put on them anyway.
you will need wobble bolts for your alloys they should come free with them mine did.

The only option youve got if you dont want to have wobbly bolts, is to find the 16's off a Fiat Coupe and fit them. But theres not really any difference between wobbly bolts and normal bolts, and as puntomk1 said they should come supplied with new alloys.

You should be able to go -50mm on 16's (with 195/45 R16 tyres) with no catching on the arches.

Bought a set of 17" for my HGT can't say I've notices it been any slower of the mark, but certainly goes round bends quicker!

Got them from www.autodesigntechnics.com in Bradford west Yorks, came complete with 4 security bolts for each wheel, balanced and fitted.

So if Anyone wants a set of 15" alloys from an HGT in the west yorks area drop me a message, still have tyers and studs plus the fiat locking studs.
