hi im getting some new alloys theyre the sporting ones off a 2003 punto, what do i need to fit these to my mk2 punto. new bolts?

Hi mate,

Yea you will need 27mm alloy wheel bolts of you have steelies as standard. Also definitely worth getting a set of locking nuts!

If you look on e-bay there are sets of 12 bolts and 4 locking nuts for around £15 + P&P

will the standard bolts not fit then?
and also do insurance need to be told about the alloys because they are genuine fiat ones.

yes matey they need to change.
i wouldring insurance but most will let you off as they OEM and intended for the car but i would still ring them....

27's will foul the rear drums.

24's are what sportings/HGT's run as standard.

bought mine for £130 and anothe £35 to get them to me. i was told that two tires had 4mm of tread but two were bald so had to pay a further £70 for new tyres. i saw some on ebay go the other day for £85 and they were local, so im not too sure what the average price is proberly between £85 and £180. if they are genuine fiat alloys then you wont need anything else to fit them, i had to buy a set of 24mm wheel nuts richie.guy done these for £21 inc postage and then i got some mcguard wheel nuts off ebay they cost £30 i think.

Thanks for your reply, but i am not going to buy them as they were quite badly kurbed and it would be more than there worth to get them re-furbished.

Thanks anyway

Sam
typically now that i dont need them loads have come up on ebay! i settled for mk2b ones didnt like them at first but now i prefer them to sporting ones!

Very nice (y) they look in really good condition

Needs lowering though :p

You should de-badge the rear imo :(

Also tint the rear lights or mk2b's? and get some new numberplates and clean it :D
