Styling alloy help

hi need sum advice, will tsw venom 17" 205-40-17 alloys fit on a 1.4 12v brava 1995 without me having to alter the arches.

205/40-17 are only 0.1" larger than 195/55-15. So if you already have 195/55-15's fitted the answer is yes.

cheers for the info polecat, have just been told that they do not supply these wheels in 4x98 fitting. Does anybody know where the best place to buy 4x98 alloys from.

I believe the more important question is, how will affect your speedo. Many people overlook this but fact remains that when you go on to sell on your car it will overread. If it underreads and someone who is buying knows the wheels were changed they might realise it has a lower reading than it should have. My 2 cents worth.
