Hi
Nope mine's OK for the moment!!!
Still never found out if I can replace the opening/closing cables for the electric roof, FIAT want £1800plus VAT for the whole unit. Anybody that knows drop a reply.

Gordon

PS its a 1998 model EL

Mine is OK, everything seems to work at the moment. I know that software version 5.5 is on the way for the RT3 unit which has MP3 support and infra red connection.

The thing that I find strange is that there have been recalls by Citroen & Peugeot for the previous RT3 software updates and Fiat never do any.

You looked on ePer http://www.findmyoldcar.com:7080/navi?GRP_COD=701&COUNTRY=012&MAKE=F&SBMK=F&COMM_MODEL=ULY&SGS_COD=0&CAT_COD=PG&MOD_COD=121&DRIVE=S&SGRP_COD=22&PREVIOUS_KEY=SUBGROUP&GUI_LANG=3&PRINT_MODE=0&ALL_LIST_PART=0&EPER_CAT=SP&WINDOW_ID=1&KEY=PARTDRAWDATA&ALL_FIG=0&LANGUAGE=3&SB_CODE=-1

There are two pages for the roof mechanism. Then click on a part number to see the cost price :) - let me know if you find it this way.

Hi Stuart DemonD
I have looked on ePer and the Fiat garage is correct, there is no replacement cable only the whole roof unit!!!!
Come warmer weather i will try to find a way to replace them without changing the whole unit. I just might try Peugeot and Citroen for parts.
Cheers anyway.

Well I've gone to California and couldn't bring mine with me, so I'm an honorary ex-Ulysse driver. Mine was doing just fine before I gave it back, and the new driver (colleague at work) has had no issues to speak of yet.....

I'm shortly to be getting a new car here (life in the land of the car when you don't have one is somewhat challenging) - probably a Mitsubishi Outlander, so if anyone knows of any horror stories, let me know soon! :)

Well I tempted fate when I said all was well. I now have a minor fault, the car was serviced in October and was reading 18K for the next service when we got it back (which is right for a petrol). It has now dropped from about 15K last time I looked to 5,500 miles to the next service.

I think something is wrong with the countdown meter.

Not so well as you say. I have something to ponder over. My 54 Ulysse JTD Dynamic, windows didn't work after some huffying and puffying a new motor and stuff they go up and then come down at a press of a button. Fancey that.

This is where my problem comes in. . . In fixing the windows the garage had to disengage the battery thus turning the 'CHILD LOCKS' OFF.

On phoning the garage it appears the Ulysse's needs to be fitted to a computer. What happened to a little button . . flick it on or off as you please!

Is this Fiats way of making money or is there a way round it. Please Help Me :bang:
