hey people, got me self an alfa romeo 156 2.4 jtd today,
will get some pictures uploaded when i get it cleaned...but it so different to drive than the bravo 1.6 i had, and its so muuuuch quicker, the power delivery is really smooth and being the 5 cylinder version it sounds so nice at like 3-4.5k..

the interior is spotless, ive never seen leather in such good condition. no marks or rips at all, it also has the carbon fibre dash effect and quite rare silver dials

obviously the pictures should explain it alot easier.. so keep an eye on this thread as ill be doing a few things to the alfa.

yeah haha, well mot isnt until Aug'12 so plenty of time to save up ;), i wouldnt mind replacing the top mounts for the engine, as i know they do go, but for the time being im just gonna run it as it is, get the usual service parts out the way, and just generally keep it maintained :) just happy im getting 46mpg rather than 30mpg:)

well a slight little update more in words than pictures :/

Having owned the jtd for just over a week, my bro decided, it was time to get rid of his coupe, and get an alfa like mine, so anyway the car was 282miles away from us all the way down in torquay, so we set off at 4am in the morning listening to good ol bit of radio 1.

now the bad bit, 20 miles from the garage the car makes this grinding noise..obviously wondering what it was, i got straight into the hardshoulder, luckily i was in the left lane to make a quick turn off:) found out my aux belt tensioner had seized up as the belt was spinning..so it cause the belt to shred its self to pieces..now even more bad news the car of course has to be repaired at the garage the new alfa is being bought, we had the RAC out to us but unfortunately we werent allowed two trips. so we were taken to the garage, new alfa bought..and my poor alfa left 280 miles away from home.

long time in updating this, of course car was repaired at a total cost of £296 :O never again please. :p

anyway its been really good to me since, fuel has been around 46-48mpg over 795 miles :) i have just done a massive Ebay shop on her, consisting of nice new oil, MAF, glow plugs, HID's ;)..so shes getting a little treat :)

next big thing that shall be done is cambelt(might attempt it myself), not too sure on engine space though :/, and all new suspension, which will include sport springs and uprated dampers:slayer: but in due time, not made of money

heres a few pictures i took a while back but never got round to uploading them.
