Aldi deals

When it comes to saving money, most including me don't care where they have to go for something.

I saved over 35% on my laptop from there (was worth over 1500 easily and i paid 1000) the whole experience of going in there and some of the people that shop there is well worth it. On top of that the staff are a lot brighter than many shopworkers, a lot more friendly and knowledgable also. Why? Go and find out on the Aldi website how much they get paid etc.

The graphics tablet this month is a steal.

Aldi are great, the only problem is that they never seem to have the same thing two days running. You just have to try stuff, some of it is really naff (the baked beans for 4p for instance are truly awful) but the 12p tinned peaches are a steal as are the 39p Jelly Babies which are every bit as good as Bassets for over £1.

Oh and expensive stuff is good sometimes too.

Aldi is spot-on for bargain tools. I got a surprisingly well-built table saw from Aldi. 1-kilowatt motor, lots of useful bits, goes through 18mm MDF like a hot knife through butter. £20? My only regret is that I could only afford one!
Sadly I missed out when they were doing bench-mounted pillar drills for the same price :(

Ah but you need to remember the additional parts that the PC has you don't always consider, for example, without looking that computer probably has a 2 year warrenty and if anything like my laptop, accidental damage and theft insurance, free! The desktop isn't as cheap as some of the computersthey have had before AFAIK (I haven't been looking at PC costs for some time) however, try beating that A4 graphics tablet price for example, I have one and it's fantastic kit! *hopefully nobody will come back with one better and as cheap* lol

i never knew about aldi till TC posted the sat nav up on here that they had there £250 was a bargin considering a lower spec version was £300 from halfrauds and i couldnt find anywhere else cheaper (maybe ebay but i refuse to use it) The only trouble is that the nearest aldi to me is quite a distance but they are building one in Reading now :D

Actually, looking at ebuyer quickly, i can't see you beating that VFM on the PC?

Sorry, should have made myself clearer, I actually meant the PC peripherals like the scanner/speakers/printer etc, rather than the PC itself. I haven't actually checked the PC itself out!

Ebuyer do 17" TFTs from £170 and USB flatbed scanners from £19.99. Can't find any 5.1 speakers for less than the aldi set though. But £49.99 for a scanner is a ripoff.

The PC is well specced if a little lacking in the RAM department, why do they insist on giving you 3.40GHz then pairing it with 512Mb RAM?

Liam

It's USB 2.0 and has a res of 2400 x 4800 dpi, you will find it hard to beat that for less than the money...try.

You're right about the TFT; ebuyer have an LG one that is the same money although I currently own 3 medion products and trust me so much at the moment (helped by great customer support, VFM etc.)

Liam, couldn't agree more, TBH i half think it's an error, these gericom/medion PCs don't often lack in that area, if not they would argue you have everything from wireless to a TV and radio tuner etc. etc.

quality! sod ann summers and its rip off pricing :)
