Does anyone know how to code in a new alarm fob on my 20vt? I think its a scorpion alarm, the fob is rectangular with 2 blue buttons on, a switch on one side and a 3 pin socket on the other side. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I do, but unfortunately I am not allowed to post a link to the people that could help you :(

The scorpion is not a standard Fiat alarm, but there is a company that deals with them.

If you trawl the Subaru forum you will find the people that can help.

Nope ignore that.

The alarm you speak of appears not to be a genuine "scorpion"

The only Scorpion I can find with two BLUE buttons is this budget alarm on Ebay

I don't think the guys I refer to could help with this :(

It is definately a standard fit Fiat alarm. The remote has fiat logo on it. Dont know if this means anything but there's a code on the back of the remote which reads MPT 1340.

yea mine reads that so what can i do to fix the problem and how to you prgram a new one
:)

Thats what i'm trying to find out too. Any ideas Barmybob? its nothing like the alam on fleabay.

well my coupe's alama dosent work at all, the car is alarmed now n i cant get it to turn off the key fob works i fink coz the lights com on so n need help big time! its a good job it in the garage!

it is definately scorpion. Any ideas anyone?
yes if it a scorpion with two button go to the car just hold both button press in together for about 15 sec till it stops flashing then just press the left button in twice that will do it

Had my coupe alarm re-coded after my flat got trashed and the knackers stole the spare keys. Not to hard to find a specialist to do it if you google.

TBA the standard alarms fitted weren't much when new (quote: cheap crap badly wired) and are now very old tech. Might be better to stump up for a newer model..the Meta/Scorpion won't stop thieves for very long...
