A common problem for the stilo are airbag error messages being displayed on the dash. This is ONE solution that helps to stop the messages however there are many reasons they may not be working but this is worth doing first!.

Basically the problem isnt always the airbags themselves its the orange connector blocks that connect them all to the airbag ecu. They are made of very poor metal and corrode quite quicly. they also work loose on the front seats in 3doors due to the extra movement in the seat to allow for it sliding forwards... so this is what you can do!.

first of all locate all the plugs that look like this.

They lie in these places from the front to rear.

1. behind the upper glove box
2. underneath both front seats
3. (only on cars with rear seat airbags) underneath the rear bench seat when pulled forwards.
4. Behind the arch liners in the boot on both sides.

Once you have located these orange plugs then the fun begins.

1. disconnect the battery and LEAVE ALONE FOR 20 MINS MINIMUM to allow the charge to disapate and prevent a unwanted detonation of the airbag system.
2. once the 20 mins have passed unplug the orange connectors one by one and spray them with contact cleaner. this will remove all the corrosion and allow for a cleaner and stronger connection and on many many occasions fixed the airbag error message for quite a period of time!.
3. once sprayed plug the all back together, connect the battery and knock the ignition on to check for errors!.

i hope this helps as it solved my airbag warning light 7 months ago and it has not returned since.
