Technical Air Intake parts

Just a quick question. Do I need to get the cardboard/foil intake hose for my 1988 Uno or will a plastic duct hose like this be ok?

Hi, if you are referring to the hose connecting the exhaust manifold cover to the air filter the answer is no.
The plastic hose would melt.
I`ve got a `89 Mk1 1300 and have long since dispensed with that hose on it.
Let us know what you decide.

I went to a bit of trouble to find a foil replacement for mine which had disintegrated. Can't say it made any noticeable difference!
