Air filters: who's got these on their Bravo's? Do they make them fitable for 1.4's?

Any better performance, engine noise, fuel mpg?

Easy installation?

How often do you need to clean it?

if you mean induction kit, yes they do. performance wise they'll make very little difference unless you have other tuned parts like exhausts, ECU tweaks etc. they do make a nice sound though, and many users report improved throttle response.

Are they all universal or do some not fit Bravo's?

Am i better going for a cheap one or a K&N filter?

Im just after even better engine noise really, not wanting much more performance?

K&N

I have a K&N on my 1.6 HLX, the noise you get from it is very nice, give a really meaty roar, as for performance it doesn't make that much difference, feels slightly more responsive, but that may just be a mental thing! Looks good tho! I paid 80 for the kit, best to get the kit rather than a cheap filter, saves faffing about with hoses and stuff, everythin is supplied for it to fit straight on, 20 min job, very easy!

Re: K&N

Are the K&N's all 1 size? My mate just wrote off his Clio and said I could have his, would it fit or are they made for different cars?

Re: K&N

they are all different sizes, the bravo one is very thin cos theres not much clearance between the bonnet and where the filter sits, also the chances are the diameter of the filter will be different, so u'd need a hose with the right diameter for the filter end, and probably a different size that connects on to the air intake on the engine! Thats why its easier to buy a kit, its all the correct sizes, does cost more right enough but i'd say its worth it!
