AIR CON NOT WORKING

MY AIRCON IS NOT WORKING IT IS BLOWING OUT WARM AIR. IF IT IS SET TO LO AND TURNED OFF THE AIR IS WARM STILL.

ANY IDEAS?

DONT WANT TO TAKE TO FIAT GOT ENOUGH HASSLE WITH SORTING ABS WITH THEM.

P.S THE GUY HOW SOLD HIS BRAVO "DREAMERS" OFF HIS HEAD IT LOOKS LOADS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER CAR IN ITS CLASS AND HANDLES WELL FUN CAR TO DRIVE. IF HE THINKS IT IS A TIN HE SHOULD LOOK AT A SAXO/ANY FRENCH CAR. ENOUGH SAID.

Sounds like it may be cracked. Stones sometimes fly up off the road and crack the unit. I'm not sure where the A/C unit is fitted in a Bravo. Happened to a friend of mine in his S2000. Managed to get the whole unit replaced under his warranty. That said, if you still have a warranty it may be worth a go speaking to Fiat.

IT WORKS NOW!? THIS HAPPENED A FEW MONTHS AGO AND HAS BEEN FINE SINCE UNTIL THIS MORNING. STRANGE. THANKS ANYWAY.

Could be low on refrigerant. Take it to an aircon specialist (Yellow pages) and ask to have it recharged/tested

if the fault is intermittent then it could b a relay fault

Bravo Air Con

We just bought an HGT on an X Plate. Test drove on a cold day and suspected air con not working. Dealer assured us if there was a problem it would be fixed under the used car warranty.

It took four trips back to the garage over a two week period, but the intermittent fault was finally traced to an overheating relay, faulty three way switch and cross threaded pipe.

Would recommend that if the car is in warranty you take it to a Fiat dealer and persist until they manage to trace and fix it. Outside warranty it could be very expensive!

If it is of any use the dealer we use, Rockingham Cars of Corby, Northants, seem to be amongst the better Fiat dealers though they are not always the cheapest. The cars previous owner sold the car after her local garage failed to find and cure the fault over a nine month period!
