After someone bumped my back bumper, it was replaced through my insurance and they sent my car to get a new bumper from their people. Looked great when it came back, but now the is a small crack in the paint and it's starting to peel and you can see the crap black plastic :(

Anyone know how I can get this fixed?

Thanks
Mal

Hi,

Take it back and get them to fix it properly. Most insurance backed repairs have a 3 year warranty.

I took mine back when I noticed the paint finish wasn't very good, made them do it all again.

Hi,

I agree if it's not near the cut then they can't argue. Make them do it again, sounds like it wasn't prepared properly or they used the wrong primer as it is a plastic bumper.

If you get a jet wash and direct it at the area where the paint is lifting, it should blow more of it off. If it does then the bumper was not prepared correctly before painting, and needs to be done again. If the bodyshop refuses to do it again, then ring up your insurance company, they'll soon sort it out for you.
