Hey guys I am very new to messing about with my car etc so please no flaming ;p I really am trying to learn. Anyway I purchased a set of multi fit 15"alloys Wolfrace alloys in pretty poor condition but with lots of life left in the tyres (195 55 R15's) for a measly price tag of £25 (I did quite a bit of research before hand to determine the tyre size etc would be ok but took a gamble with offset :S). I have determined that the offset is 50mm and therefore too big for the punto mk2b active and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the below:-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-10MM-...heels_tyre_Trims_Trims_ET&hash=item2ec2df7056

If so could I use these coupled with wobbly bolts (or as its multifit I guess they may fit straight off- though previous owner had 100pcd) should it all work out ok? also I imagine that I would need 58.1mm spigot rings though I find it odd the previous owner used 75mm to 57.1mm (Could I just run a bit of sand paper around these to knock off a mm to save messing about?) and I can't seem to find 75mm anywhere as wolfrace generally seems to be 72.4mm?. I am also planning on doing a bit of a restore job on them - dont seem to have much curb damage but paint has started to bubble and is in a bad way so was planning to strip the paint etc and any advice on that would also be helpful but I see a few threads so my main question is about the spacers.

I am pretty keen and while it might seem alot of work to get some tidy alloys cheap I look forward to attempting to restore them -I really just need to make sure they will fit, won't rub etc once I am done or I will be gutted!

Thanks in advance for any freedback or help and apologies if I have said anything stupid ;p

the punto uses 185/55/15 btw not 195/55/15 - you may find your speedo under-reads
30mph on dash = 32mph for example

You can get away with Wobbly bolts for 100x4 pcd

As for the Spigot rings - dont sand them ffs, it'll odd shape them and cause no end of problems - Find the correct size to prevent any issues

As for the tyres - what are they? are they cheap or okay branded tyres?

And refubing is alot of work, alot of sanding and very little spraying

Thanks for the reply mate - I read that the standard punto alloys where the size you said but 195 would be ok?

I will have to check the tires as I am not sure to be honest it was pretty dark I just checked the tread on them and the state of the alloys.

Thanks for the tip with refurbing I gathered as much - whats your opinion on paint stripper on them? it seems to vary quite alot from thread to thread?

Shall deffo get the right rings as I found them for a fiver on ebay but 72.4mm (seems to be standard for wolfrace) but the ones the previous owner was using were deffo 75mm (written on the inside of them) would 72.4mm likely be ok though?

Also did you check out the spacers on ebay by any chance? would they be ok?

Lastly I did read about the speedo likely to being out is it difficult to adjust diy style?

Sorry for so many questions -any help is greatly appreciated :D thx for your reply
