Sorry if this is the wrong section - wasn't sure where to put the question.

Having loved a Fiat Ulysses for years and it dying on me a while back, I am now looking to buy a newer one.

Got my eye on a 2003 model Eleganza 2.2 diesel, but the guy selling it has said the computer has a five minute fit on start up and says the engine is overheating. This has put me off a bit and my question is, is it easy to sort out? Everything else seems fine, apart from the radio doesn't work and there's a ding on one of the panels. Its the computer bit that worries me.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

Many thanks in advance.

Same here. They are prone to all sorts of silly messages though, so it's probably a meaningless one. Recently ours flashed up an overheating warning, "STOP", red light on temperature gauge, the lot. Engine was cold at the time and it hasn't happened since. Which is more than be said for the "anti pollution system fault" one. LEXIA reports NO faults, but the stupid car does...
