Hello Fiat Forum members, I'ld like to ask help in adjusting the valves from an Fiat Coupe 2.0 16v from year 1995.
The timing belt was broken, so we no longer know the correct adjustment of the camshaft (valves) in relation to the timing points.
According to the workshop manual drawing, the marking points on the camshaft sprockets should be diagonal at the top (foto 1), but the only visible markings on the valve cover and camshaft pulleys are vertically opposite each other (foto 2)
In this situation, the camshaft timing is incorrect, the valves are opening incorrectly, and we're not getting proper compression.
We also can't find the correct calibration tools for this motor.
Does anyone have any advice for us?
Where can I find information or worksbooks or calibration tools ?
Thanks a lot in advance, with greatings, Erik Landwehr.
