My cinq just failed its MOT - "rear brakes and handbrake inefficient". Not sure whether the garage who did it are trying to rip me off tho coz they also said it failed on various other things, which when checked (brake lights etc) these were OK! I reckon they saw I'm a bird and guessed I know nothing about cars (quite rightly!) Anyhoo, one of my friends had a look at the brakes to adjust them today, but couldn't do it. I've since been told that if you reverse the car and slam on the footbrake and the handbrake at the same time this will adjust the brakes. Anyone know if this is true?
