My 1.3 multijet got shunted over the week end :(

Not a huge amount of damage, but will probably need a new back bumper. I've now have kicked off the insurance claim. You can't see in the photo that the paint on the bumper is scratched the full width of the bumper and there is sum damage along the back edge where it was pushed up into the boot lid

Annoyingly now the HGT keeps flashing up 'Hill hold failure" which for some reason leaves the reverse light on, so thats off the road at the moment too.
oh well should be given a rental car to thrash about for a few days

its the foam at the back dunnit
stepdaughter just had her bumper replaced for exact same damage via insurer
i repair these but you should demand new bumper

sorry to hear about your plight hope your neck heals soon;)

To be fair there is no way they can repair as there is damage from a previous scrape (hit and run motorcyclist) which would make repainting after repairing impossible. also i think a replacement bumper is very cheap for these anyway.

as for neck injury i wasn't in the car my OH had borrowed it while i was on night shifts so i was tucked up in bed.
however my other half has arthritis in her neck and is now having problems, although she doesn't want to make a claim she might end up having to especially if she has to miss work
