clutch been replaced about 750 miles ago
bell housing became lose, bottom 2 bolts, clutch not engaging.
bell housing now bolted on correctly, but clutch still not engaging. Does this mean the slave needs bleeding to compensate for the movement that this has caused, or do i have to overhaul the clutch again
Any response greatly received.

explain how the clutch is not working, no pedal travel? no gears?grinding?
if the bottom bolts came loose, the mountings and other bellhousing bolts should have held it.

i did my clutch yesterday 1.4...

theres a grinding when selecting gears, dont wnat to force it as slave cyclinder will go.
bell housing now sitting correct.
Did you have to rebleed your slave once fitting new clutch.
cheers

hi tony, no i didnt have to bleed it, just bolt off and back on.sounds like,it needs bleeding up,
or your gear selector may be slightly offcentre.
i would go with bleeding it first though

let me know how you got on
in work tomoz though :(
so it will be after 4pm when i get in

The slave has been blead but the still making a grinding when selecting any gear. The foot pedal feels correct not to sloppy or to stiff.
te slave cyclinder is moving the clutch arm but not enough to release.
Could this problem be that the release bearing mount has broke and the release bearing is spinning in the housing.
Other than that am stumped what the problem is?

hi tony,
hmm sounds like your thrust bearing might be dead.it could have broken mountings, mine was totally mashed up.can you get it into gear with the engine turned off?.where abouts do you live?
if it aint a million miles away,i could have a look.
but as for now its looking like the box may have to come back off...owch sry pal..
