Hi All

Just picked up a Stilo abarth at the weekend 02 in Purple i think, its very dark almost burgundy. I just have a few questions regarding the Navman. The dealer said the car did not come with disks to them, so he suggested i go to Navteq, but they charge 100 pounds for them. Is there anyway to get replacement ones? Will a Fiat dealer be able or willing to supply them?
Also when i put my t-mobile sim in i can get it to ring numbers and it works ok, but it comes up as 0ne-to-one, there is no T-mobile in the operators list, i guess this is due to the car being 5 years old, do i have to update the Nav software as well?
How often does the AC need re-gassing? i presume its never been done.
Finaly it only has 44k on the clock, was wondering when the timing belt is usualy done, it was a big job when i owned Bravo's will it be the same for the Stilo?

Thanks
Will post some pics next few days :)

a/c will only need doing when it's not cold enough :) i spoke to a guy who said cars only normally needs regassing after around 8-10 years old

as for timing belt, there's not alot of room with the 2.4 lump in so it would be a difficult job, I'd look for an italian specialist near you unless you know/trust someone to do it for you :)

Hi there!, I picked up a 02 purple abarth this weekend too! how strange!

Mines on 65K so im planning on getting the cambelt changed ASAP!! - i spoke to my local friendly mechanic had he said it would be £105 plus what ever the parts cost! - A bargain me thinks! - I might get him to write that price down, incase he suddenly changes his mind when he starts the job!!

Damn nice one that is a bargain, i remember my Bravo cost more than that to do about 4 years ago.

Good question. Mine was done 18 months ago, my local garage who did it said that it was in dire need of a re-gassing :( Having spoken to the guys at my local Fiat garage they reckon on every year 2 years as being the average on all Fiat group aircon systems - which is less than some others :(
Performance of the aircon has dropped off a wee bit again so a re-charge might be needed come the spring - handily enough there's plenty of cold air around at the moment :D

it's pretty rubbish if it needs doing every year! mine an 04 plate and never been done (i think) and is still going strong.

Should be 5 years earliest I should have thought on any normal car, then again the Stilo isn't a "normal" car is it? :p
