Hello all just got a few problems on the HGT.
First off a while back both my front bumper fog lights just stopped working, the switch came on but no lights.tested the bulbs all and fuse, all was ok.I assumed the power plug had come loose after my bumper was removed during repair, they worked fine after bumper replacement by the way.Recently when i was fitting my neew brakes i decided to take the arch panel off and sort it out. When i checked the plug it was ok but it only had about 3 volts going to thr main connector.i'm no electrician but i'm sure that aint enough. The power at the switch seems ok so i was wondering if there was a relay or summat in between that could be causing the fault. We even stuck the plug to a battrey and the lights came on fine.Any help on that appreciated.
Second prob is over the past few weeks ive noticed that my drivers seat seems ,well a bit wobbly.like its loose somewhere but all the bolts are really tight.I'm sure i seen a post about a common bravo problem a while back but could not find it,again help appreciated.
And finally I have noticed a knocking noise from my left rear when i go round a left bend.At first thought it was the rear seat holder so done the insulation tape fix but not that.Even took out the spare wheel, parcel shelf and folded the seats still there. The car handles fine but its just really annoying. The only thing i could think of was a few years back on my rs turbo a rear bush was worn causing a similar type of knock!!Is there a similar setup on the bravo again any help is more than welcome.
Sorry for the essay like post, hope its not broke any rules about being too long(or boring lol).Cheers for any help

Hi,
As far as I know only the rear fogs go through a relay. Check the earths as well as the live feed to the fogs.
Not sure about the seats but it could be the runners.
Could be a rear bearing or hub. Jack the car up and see if you can rock the wheel. There is a guide on BOO if I remember correctly.
Good luck, get back if you find any more info.

your front fog lamps run thru a relay, found behind glove box. the relay is fed by ignition, aswell as fuse. the relay is 4 pinned and costs about £4.00 from a main dealer. wires to it are yellow - ign: red - fuse: blue - switch and brown - lights
hope this helps.

Sorry its been so long getting back with replies.Unfortunatley someone in Morrisons car park reversed there offroad 4x4 all purpose school trip/shopping vehicle right down the passenger side, then drove off.Didnt wanna claim on my insurance as i got full no claims and even with protection it still classes as a claim(dunno how they work that out).So had to save and get it painted.Managed to fix 2 of the three problems though. The rocking seat was down to my missus. She had messed with the height adjuster(which i didnt even know i had)and not clipped it back down properly(nice and easy one). The knocking from the back was down to good old Kwik-Fit.When they fitted the exhaust the lad didnt use the right rubbers apparently,so every time i went round a bend under load the exhaust was knocking.Even though it was fitted 7 months ago they put a brand new system on,which i suppose was a small bonus.Still stuck on the fog lights. The relay in the glove box is fine so there must be a bad earth between the relay and the plug that goes into the bumper. When i get chance just gonna run a new wire straight from the relay.Hopefully this should work.Just started a new job so mabe gonna let the HGT go.Be sad to loose it but gonna be doing 400+ miles a week and at 24 to the gallon gonna get expensive. Thanks foir the help again Anthem

In reference to the insurance. what the protected no claims does is, if you have to claim, your bonus does not drop down by two years, it stays at its current level.
It would have to be registered as a claim just purely so its registered. It may or may not effect the premium in the future.
Its the same if you need the windscreen replaced, its free replacement under insurance and its registered as a claim, but in no way does it effect the policy price
