A bit of info please.

I am in the middle of doing a home made turbo kit on my cinq. Now I have a t15 turbo, oil cooler, intercooler, turbo oil feed-I will be gettting an MF2 soon and have made the pipework and the plenum chamber but my question this. In order to make this a high boost turbo how much needs to be taken off the pistons? I have tried Van Aaken but noone seems to know much about the turbo conversion any more!

Is that a flat 2mm or a dish. There is not much more than 2mm before the rings as it is.

CR needs lowering to 8:1...so Id imagine youde have to follow the profile of the piston ideally!

Are they not flat topped on the cinq anyway.

no, they are dished. van aaken just cut them to the lower end of the dish.. making them flat. if that makes sense.

not sure if you can do that on the 1242 pistons though.
