Technical 998cc cinquecento high idle speed

I'm trying to resolve a high rpm idle problem on my M reg Cinq'.
It ticks-over at approx 1000-1200 rpm but can find no obvious adjudtment. Could it be the TPS? Any idea how to test this? Any help would be appreciated

1st thing i would check was there were no leaks in the induction pipes letting in extra air
