Im absolutely raging! going to a hen night in benidorm and the first nights theme is 80's! could it not have been something cool like the 50's!!!

ok so here's my dilema... what the hell would be classed as 80's clothes?
I cant possibly where leggings, and a tutu/rara skirt is out the window. i can manage the hair and make up. but what on earth do i wear?

Has anyone been in a similar situation, and knows the style well? any one around back then who knew what looked hot on anything bar a stick insect?

im really struggling, when i google 80's clothes im horrifed! (n)

looks like neon, stone wash denim and some converse trainers are necessary:eek:

80's fancy dress? New Romantic! Big bleached/ dyed hair, ruffles and frilly shirts. Or dress like a pirate ala Adam and the Ants.

Funnily enough I went to a fancy dress gig at xmas and came second as.................Adam Ant, used a bit of insulation tape for the nose stripe.

Do a google for Bananarama and jsut copy them, you cant go wrong.

Glam rock it.

Cheers! People used to laugh at the 80's but it was actually an incredibly creative time with a huge melting pot of style and musical ideas. Got a bit crappy towards the end of the decade though!

I was at school when Adam and the Ants were big and we used Tippex to paint the white stripe on each others faces. A bonus was that we also got really high on the fumes! :spin:

Another 80's look to consider was the floppy fringe and the pout. Done here to great effect by the Human League
