Hi,
New to forum, looking for advice. Bought 75sx punto, 9 months ago, my first car. Have had number of problems over time with car, only resolved by parting with cash at local garage, as my technical expertise is equivalent to the average goldfish.

Latest problem, as wet weather is once again upon us, after unavoidably driving through large puddle, immediately had severe reduction in acceleration. Can hear engine revving but is not resulting in any great amount of drive. Even with accelerator completely depressed has trouble achieving over 2000/3000 revs, then without warning acceleration returns and im off like wile e coyote from a slingshot!!

Problem resolves itself within day or so. Happened on three occasions each time puddle was involved.

Anyone got ideas on which mystical part of punto is playing up/affected this time, alternative will be another trip to garage for my wallet to be mugged once again.

Hi welcome to the fiat forum.:)

I reckon HT (plug) leads or ignition coil packs, you can get water repelent spray or wd40 that might help, but if it was my car i would try new leads first then coil packs.
