well speaks for itself really, jus wondering how much this would set me back?
plus I think i'm in need of a new gearbox, the gears feel soooooo widddddddddde its horrible? Does anybody else have this problem?
I've just got my car back from the repair shop after a woman reversed into the front of my girl (end Of August), they deceided it would be fun to give a 21 yr old a 2.0L Vectra >:)
hee hee hee, but now i have my girl back she needs a bit of tlc as she's had a hard few weeks!
if anyone could help me out with the prices of a service and gearbox it would be most appreciated! cheers Wez

absolutely everything needs changed. oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter spark plugs, pollen filter, and its quite reasonable to do coolant & brake fluid too. £150 tops for that lot imo. if your cambelt hasn't been done in the last 50k, then that is definitely due too. expect to pay up to £150 extra for that, or alot more if its a HGT you have

i reckon i missed a couiple of things, but i'm in a hurry to go out, thought i'd try and answer anyway ;)

What do you mean by the gears feeling "widddde"?

In the recent cold weather, my Bravo's gearbox has felt utterly **** until at least 30 mins of driving have passed, and the car is totally warmed up. I'm just putting it down to the cold weather, used to be the same in my old clio. Just let Nationwide Autocentres relieve me of the best part of £150 for a full service and change of 'box oil.. Was hoping some new oil would make all the difference, no luck sadly!

it feels like when I selecting the first gear i'm ready to hang out the passanger side window, it goes sooooo far over its untrue!

I do alot of stuff myself, if i do oil change, oil filter, pollen filter, cam belt, an then take it in an say i've done this i want all the other things in the 72.000 mile servicer will they do that, i imagine it'll take the price down a bit??

a bit maybe. but probably no more than you already spent on the parts.
maybe do it all yourself, and just pay for the cambelt.
