Has anyone fitted replacement std front coil springs to their trekking. I can't locate any front coil springs with the 20mm ride height that's std on the trekking. Even at the dealership. I assume it will just ride lower and not foul the wheels or has anyone ever managed to locate any in the uk.
Thanks

Hi, did you ever get a reply? Or have you fitted standard springs without any issues? Just broken another spring on the Trekking and grudge paying the dealership price.

Hi guys!
Same problem on my 500L 1.4 T-Jet Trekking - broken front-left spring coil.
I was searching through whole internet and identified only original part number with ridiculous price and zero availability on stock.

I am confused, because
1) Mopar-shop shows same spring for every trim level - https://parts.moparonlineparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-spring-front-coil-68201087aa
2) ePer shows only number 51936548
3) for example Lesjöfors catalogue says explicitly at 4026253 "not for trim level Trekking"

Hi, I've emailed aftermarket suppliers and have been told that a Trekking coil spring is dealership only. I was lucky enough to find a single one on eBay last year, the hunt continues.

Hi, I've just taken the chance and fitted a spring for a standard 1.6d on our Trekking. I pieced the broken spring together, measured it and couldn't see a significant difference in size, not 20mm anyways. I also had 2 new tyres fitted and I've taken it for a road test and everything is absolutely OK. Home and measured on a level surface, the drivers side with a 1 year old genuine Fiat Trekking spring is 675mm from ground to wheel arch, the passenger side with the new NAPA standard spring is 680mm. I appreciate that the suspension settles over time so I'll keep an eye on it but I'm happy that I've saved myself a fortune.

Could be a solution!
I was thinking about doing it same way.
I've checked the parts description in ePer and difference between standard and trekking spring is about 400g.
So probably more material = one extra thread?

Just had the yellow bus, that's what my wife calls it, in for it's MoT. On my way there I heard a loud knock from the passenger side, turns out both wishbones were away so these were fitted and back on the road again. I have just taken it for a long drive and everything is still OK. If I was really picky I would say the NAPA spring is very slightly softer but she still drives perfectly.
