Technical 500 door locks

When I lock the 2013 500 with the remote, all the indicators flash, same for unlocking. If I use the second key without remote, the indicators do not flash. Is there any difference in the security state between these locking methods?

In fact just use the lock with the remote key...SHOULD be the same result as the Slave key..

I've just had a look for a flashing LED, but can't see one. I will have a look in the dark later.

There's no LED on my 2013 remote key.

I meant the car..

Locking the doors in the oldfashioned way with the key barrel..

Might have a different effect that 'setting' the vehicled locked with the remote

None on the car either - though our Mazda has one.

The flash is to indicate that the car is locked, when you plip it from 20 yards away. If there is a locking error/failure then you get a slightly more frantic quick flashing.

If you have the key in the lock and are locking it manually, then you should be able to tell by the sound/feel of it. You're probably not standing in a position that flashing lights can help you either.
