5.5 blue Me download issue

I wish to update my Bravo bluetooth system . However upon un zipping the download file I have 3 files that appear as .CAB (Winzip files) and a further 4 other files that have extracted normally. I do not want to transfer and then run these files via my usb stick unless i know that the .CAB files are the correct format for my car to update without error? Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks!

The .cab files are the format that Windows CE uses for packages (like APK's for android, or msi's for windows) they are understood by the car no problem as it runs Windows CE Automotive Edition. You dont need to extract them or anything like that.

As long as you have the correct update for the Blue & Me (Generation 1 and 2 of the B&M system have different updates - the BlueAndMe website tells you how to check which you have) then you should be fine (I have a feeling it wont let you install the wrong ones anyway - but i've not tested that theory)
