I have looked at other threads specifying this and have thought about it.

I've been thinking about getting a set of 15" OZ F1 alloys from a Renault Clio 172 Phase 1 - Simply because they are lightweight and ill be able to switch them over to my next car once Insurance has calmed itself down.

They are 15" 6.5J wide alloys with a ET of 37. Weigh in at 4.5kg Without Tyres.

I think i'll need spigot rings because they are 68.1 I think.
I also think that I'll definitely need wobbly bolts to fit from a 98 pcd to a 100 pcd, Also how do I go about getting 4 wobbly locking bolts?

Any help would be appreciated. Im at the planning stage at the moment.

May even consider myself some Speedline alloys off a Clio Williams Mk1 if I can stretch that far, they will be 15" 7J wide alloys with an ET of 37 also.

My Current Tyres on my Punto are 14/65/165 So what would be the best size to go on the 15" alloys?

Tell me what you guys think. :D

Thanks for your input, I'll have a look :D

EDIT: Just had a look and he is selling the correct bolts, But no locking bolts to match with the wobbly bolts. :(
Errrm, if those wheels in the first picture are the ones you are getting/have got you might want to look again - they're not 4x100...
They are 4x100 and also 4x108 for Peugeot and Citreon fitting also. - Note the 8 holes?

i think he's jus added that pic to show what they look like....(at least i hope he has)
As above.
iirc, the correct tyres for 15" would be 165/55/15 to keep the same (or at least very close) rolling radius that the punto was designed for. may be wrong on the width... then again may be completely wrong with it all, but i think its correct.

Thanks Samurai dragon, it's just most of the Clio people that run theses alloys use 185 wide tyres, So I weren't so sure. If I got tyres to suit the alloys, to get the correct speedometer readings i'll have to change the sensor to a one to suit? (n)

well, the pic on top shows the alloys are 5 stud design which is why people commented. 185 width tyres sounds more like it, i had steel width in my head hense the 165's. so, tyres should be 185/55/15's then. (iirc of course)

Ahhh my mistake :D Put up the wrong picture, but yes they are indeed 4x100 the correct ones.

185/55/15's - The tyres that god has  Cheap but amazing at the same time, Think I'll get myself a set of 4 hankook V12 tyres as they get great reviews. £42 for one. (y)

Google camskill, they do Toyo Proxes Tr-1 in 195/50/15 (Which fit but will be very slightly smaller, though not enough that it causes an issue) for £28 a corner, and do next day delivery :) Just had mine put on, and they're ace!

That's where I got the V12 prices from, Camskill are great.

Toyo Tr-1's were a good tyre but they get mixed reviews from everyone.

Cheap but good tyres. I'd love a set of R888's but they have stopped making them until next year as they are improving the design of them.

I find the Toyo's great, but anything was better than the four, random brand, nearly bald tyres my sporting alloys had on them when I bought them, feel like I'm driving on velvet in comparison :) definitely worth checking the prices across the different tyre profiles, seems to be a variance in price and I understand that the 185/55/15's are quite a rare tyre size, hence possibly more expensive.

could be worse. he could have 16 inch alloys. tyre prices rocket with them.

I got bored but has anyone considered the wheel offset? Its unlikely to be the same on a Clio as a Punto. Dont forget the costs of wobbly bolts will take a chunk out of the bargain cheap wheels.

apparently all Mk1 Puntos are Et 38 offset and the Clio alloys are both ET37, shouldn't be much of an issue?

Wobbly bolts are £24 for 12 and £26 for 16. Not sure on how to get locking wobbly bolts though. :(

Sounds like happy days :)

TBH the bolts should not be costly its only the tapered washers that are made on the wobble.

Theoretically I could make them myself, But I wouldn't trust my lathe skills to produce them

Anyone know where I can get 4 Locking wheel bolts from that'll work with the wobbly bolts? Or can they just be normal? Not sure. :(

EDIT: Found some spigot rings for the Alloys, Clios have a centre bore of 60.1mm and fiats have 58.1mm? so theses should do the trick? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/x4-Centre-Spi...956?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item483e289b84
