i went into halfords 2day and got them to phone up g max and ask if id need to ne arch work to get the springs to fit with my 17s they said i would ne 1 got ne experience with lowering springs for mk2 sportings?

You dont need to do anything to the arches on mk2's only if you carry passengers or heavy luggage all the time then they'll need work............
