General 3 door / 5 door seats

Does anyone know if the seats from a 3 door sporting would fit in a 5 door Mk2? I fancy some more supportive fronts and wonder if the fittings are the same, also the rear, just to match them up.

The front will, but the back wont, also if you did just do the front the seats would fold down like in a 3 door.

Also remember that the door cards will have to stay the same, because obviously the door cards from a 3 door won't fit in a 5 door. So if you have that red interior you sometimes see on MK2 5 doors, the door cards would have to stay red and wouldn't match the seats.

currently have std elx blue fronts. Just want something with a little more support and don't want to pay hundreds of pounds.
I guess I could just use the fronts from a sporting, might be handy to have foldy seats!

Door cards cant be the same - 3 door shell has bigger doors. 3 door seats should fit the 5 door and you might get lucky and find some with height adjustment. 5 door seats no good in 3 door - they dont tilt.

Talk to BenMK who has some seats that should work fine.
