Codes that won't clear usually indicate that the fault is still present.
This looks to be new enough to have an adblue system. The adblue fluid can crystallise, blocking feed pipes and injectors. There are ways to clean these, have a browse on YouTube.
An overfilled adblue tank will sometimes leak into the control unit (ECU), which will often result in the need for a new tank. New tanks come as complete units, including the control unit.
Needs more diagnosis before loading any parts cannon.

Diesel fuel sweats. It absorbs a little water, and so does any air above it in the tank. On cold nights, the water condenses on the walls of the tank, inside, and once the droplets grow large enough, they drain down into the fuel, and drop to the bottom, as the fuel is lighter. This gets pulled through to the fuel filter, which one of the filter's jobs, is to separate this water. There's usually a drain tap or plug on the bottom of the filter housing. Vehicle handbook should show a drain procedure.
A full fuel tank contains little air, so therefore little moisture. Many fleets of trucks and vans fill their tanks each evening, to help prevent water issues. Tedious as an owner, if not using lots of fuel every day.
Petrol does not suffer as much as diesel, diesel seems to attract the moisture.

Thanks for reply, its 2012, never had the water warning before, will look for drain plug

Yes its separate tank for DPF , a pain but recently checked it has pat fluid, van is not starting

This is a PAT fluid tank and never had a water issue before

Cant find diesel filter anyone know where it is? 1560 cc engine it’s normally on left, on this engine it isnt, ive just done a cambelt on a car 1560cc engine and pump is on left over cambelt, my van isn’t 👨🏼‍🔧

1. Does the handbook mention it, and show a pic? Hopefully it will explain about occasional draining.
2. Take a pic of the engine bay, post here, we may be able to point at it.
3. Follow pipes from injectors, bak to the injection pump, then back from there. Should lead to a filter, before you arrive at the tank.

I think the two issues are separate.
The PAT fluid is injected into the exhaust, after the catalyst, so never goes near the fuel system.
Water in the fuel filter is as I described earlier. When was the filter last changed? Might just be an old filter.
On PSA cars, PAT fluid is injected into the fuel tank, adblue is injected into the exhaust.
PAT fluid is usually only 1 to 2 litres per 100k miles. And nasty stuff.

Cant image fiat are any different.

Ive found it and its not same as i thought, anyhow going getting filter wk 9034

How do i test the sensor with muktimeter please to see if that is defunct? Thxs

Sensor only has 1 prong

I now have new bosch filter primed and back in place but i want to test the sensor assuming its the one prong sensor that detects for water and gave me the warning on the dash "water detected in fuel filter", any advice please?

Depends on the sensor, most are just float switches, some might detect water, if just one wire then probably a float switch

My question is how do i test a single prong sensor? Red multi meter lead on prong, wheres does black go?

Body of the filter housing, which would be earthed to the vehicle body.
But do you know what reading to expect? If not, no point in testing. It might be checking the resistance on the fuel. If a float switch, turning it upside down might change the reading.
Why assume the sensor is at fault. If it says water in the filter, there was probably water in the filter.
