General 3 cars, 1 CD autochanger...

I'm looking at a 2008 Eleganza at the weekend with a view to replacing my 04 roundnose (104,000 miles). If I take it, the Eleganza will be my 3rd Multipla. The first, a brand new 2001 105 JTD came fitted with a 10 CD Blaupunkt autochanger which I had not specified but was very happy to discover lurking under the front passenger seat.

After trading the old girl in in 2004, again for a brand new roundnose (one of the last of the line) I asked the garage to swap the CD units over to which they agreed so long as i paid for the connector cable (Generous to a fault those FIAT dealers eh?)

If I take the Eleganza, does anyone know if the CD changer will fit?
If so, do I need another cable? The Eleganza has a radio CD and not a radio cassette as both the 01 and 04 have.

Anyone have any tips?

I tried to change my autochanger from the '02 110elx to the '08 Eleganza. They didn't talk to each other. Well, mine didn't any way.... Sorry to bring tidings of bad news..... Good luck anyway, yours may work, who knows!

Thanks for the tip, I wonder if its a case of getting a different cable or just straight incompatiblity? I suppose a 2001 CD autochanger is old technology now - even though it works perfectly and sounds good.
