"ground at the last possible moment"

So that'll be just as the water starts to boil in my kettle then?

Always like to buy the beans & grind them myself. I can decide how fine/coarse to grind them, I also like to experiment with blends & always prefer the fresh ground taste.

My son grinds them just before using them, the beans are kept in the fridge and the brew is made immediately.

He's a bit OTT on coffee.

And rightly so. We don't get many pleasures in life, for some, it's claying their motor every 23.26935 hours, for others it's not missing the latest episode of eastenders (and catchup simply isn't good enough!) for me, it's getting the coffee just to my liking.
All week I have to put up with instant from my flask so when I get days off, the coffee grinder comes out.
