Hi Sallydoodles. EH55 doesn't immediately mean much to me but you're obviously somewhere in my area.

Oh, just googled it and you seem to be well out towards the west of the city - West Calder? Not exactly on my doorstep otherwise I'd have offered to pop round - I'm a bit south west of the Leith Docks in North Edinburgh.

Please do try to post a recording of the noise though, maybe it'll trigger a memory.
