Hi there, I am having trouble confirming the Euro rating for my 2011 Ducato, 130 multijet. (Dethleffs Globe 4 motorhome) Nothing on my papers or any stickers/plates around the doors or under the bonnet. But online it tells me that Euro 5 applies for this model. I want to be sure as I will be parking in a Euro 5 only zone soon.

At that age It is difficult to say as it was changing about then. The chassis could have been some months old when it was converted. What diesel filter is fitted, replacement element with plastic housing or metal replaceable complete unit?

Thanks! Have no idea about the diesel filter. I am attaching a table I found on line but fo not know what category it would belong to, light commercial, lorries etc.

It will fall under the LCV category, but as Ray says, motorhome chassis can stand for a while before conversion, so it could straddle Euro4 and 5.

For a definitive answer, you should find the engine code as "Motore" on the Fiat VIN plate on the slam panel (F1*******), this will define the engine fitted, and a Google of that code should eventually reveal the Euro rating.

If you can't determine using Google, just post the code on here.

(If it's Euro 5 as a 130 it's likely to be F1AE3481D)

The Wiki table indicates 2007-2010. My van has a date for production Oct. 12, 2011. Yet the following years table on the Wikepedia page does not give any option for this engine. It still seems to be a bit ambiguous, it might be 5!

I think it is euro 4 but send a photo of the diesel filter [fitted to the engine bulkhead] and the cat convertor [ seen from underneath prior to going into the silencer box]. https://www.truck1.co.in/spare-part...481n-fpt-long-block-93kw-euro-4-a7903658.html
The article below is dated Oct 18th 2011. It says new engines were introduced so it appears to me your engine is the euro 4 as it is listed 2007 - 2010.

OP has already stated it's 2011, so it's X250.
The engine code from his vin plate shows it's Euro4.

The other (later, Euro5) code I quoted above was used 2011-2016 (and AFAIK overlapped into the X290).

I had a 2015 X290 which was Euro5. Euro6 production came late 2015 into 2016.

OP states late 2011 production, but that is likely to be conversion date on an earlier base, or a late, run-out production.

many thanks guys for confirming Euro 4 on this! One of the links shows it as totally unambiguous!

When I bought it, the previous owner advertised it as Euro 5, thats why I had to double check. Also, the manufacture date on my reg card shows 12 Oct 2011. The other article link about Euro 5 engines is dated only a week later on Oct.18. So mine must have been the very last that had the Euro 4 engine.
