fellow aussie ducato owner, hervey bay qld. just bought our 2004 2.8lt from sydney to use for a dog grooming van. As much as i love it shes been quiet a headache to keep her moving. only had her for about 4 weeks and since then the ignition has collapsed, now the clutch and master cylinder has gone. shes done 190 thou kms. well they think its the master... the pedal went straight to the floor and wldnt come back up. they replaced the clutch which was in a pretty bad way and still the pedal sits flat on the floor so their guessing the master as the slave seems fine. The rear engine seal was also replaced with a iveco one as we were told they were the same item at a third of the price. We got no log books or any info on previous work done to it so we seem to be running blind on its history. We found that northgate fiat iveco service dept to be gr8 source of info for us as local mechanics seem to shy away from them. so as we speak she's spending another nite in the workshop waiting for a master cylinder to be freighted up. :(

Hi Lynn and welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your problems and hope that you are able to get them sorted out OK. It certainly sounds like a master cylinder problem from your description and if it is the original part then it has lasted very well.

I had the same problem on my Iveco and as I was a long way from home I had to tie a piece of string around the pedal and pull it back off the floor after each gearchange until I got it replaced.
