Technical 2001 punto problem

hi there

i have a 2001 fiat punto 1.2 8v with a small problem but dont know what it is?


my problem is when driving in 1st 2nd or 3rd gear the car starts to jurk back and forth like it is struggling to get power??

i was told it was my clutch or fuel filter

i dont think it is the clutch as it feels fine

i am trying to contact the last owner to see when fuel filter was last changed but he wont reply



any input would be great

erratic idle while in neutral gear and stationary? also that judder you talk about, is it constant or it goes away when you press gas pedal few times and then comes back?

more likely a worn rear engine/gearbox mount
or car needs a damm good service
