My dads car has for some strange reason melted it's plastic inlet manifold. We have no idea why.
He says the car started running rough but nothing else. When I checked it out I thought at first one of the coils had gone but after taking out number 1 plug it was still getting a spark so it's not the coil. I suspect it may be a burnt valve in number 1 cylinder but cannot explain the melted manifold.
Has anyone any experience of this?
Also has anyone got a manifold they would like to sell.
