Hi, i bought a 1997 Ducato 230 2.5 tdi last year, and was so happy with it, untill one rainy day after driving about 50km it suddently it lost power i couldnt get it to speed up, i could only get the rpms up if i pressed the clutch. After driving about 1km this way, the engine just stopped, and i havent been able to get it started since. After i dragged it home, i noticed a crack in the timing belt, and it seemed like it was loose, and have jumped a couple of teeth so i tryed to change it but i still cant get it to run. I have also changed the diesel filter, and tryed to start with "diesel starter spray", but nothing happens. The light in the dash, for water in filter is allso on, but its a new filter, and i filled it with clean diesel when i fitted it. i have checked fuses and relays but they all seem fine. when i tryed to start it about 2 weeks ago, the glowplug wire light in the dashboard flashed alot in stead of just glow for a couple of seconds, but it didnt flash today. Hope my english is understandable. what can i try next? i wouldnt like to scrap it allready.
