Technical 1st gear

Can someone enlighten me please, what is double clutching?

like when changing down gear, instead of just doing that. hit clutch and go into neutral, then again and put in gear. it makes it alot smoother

You know what you should do?

If in 3rd for example....slow down, press the clutch, put the gearbox in neutral, rev it with accelerate pedal, press the clutch, and listen when revs are still falling, gently pull it and gently it will go in 2nd

If you learn to do this at exact moment in revs, you theoretically dont need the clutch

My old gear box did it.


My new one does it..

evan though i stripped itand replaced syncro's. i put it back into netraul and release clutch and try again. Hold the clutch down a little longer before selecting gear to let the gears slow down.
