You know what you should do?

If in 3rd for example....slow down, press the clutch, put the gearbox in neutral, rev it with accelerate pedal, press the clutch, and listen when revs are still falling, gently pull it and gently it will go in 2nd :D

If you learn to do this at exact moment in revs, you theoretically dont need the clutch

read above and you'll probably find we have already outlined double de clutching as for the numpty that suggested forcing it well i hope his syncros get worn to nothing

My old gear box did it.


My new one does it..

evan though i stripped itand replaced syncro's. i put it back into netraul and release clutch and try again. Hold the clutch down a little longer before selecting gear to let the gears slow down.
