I'm going to give it a good clean and check over tomorrow but I had to have a play with the 4WD in our field first :D
Not noticed that with mine? Will have to compare them when I have two sets of wheels again!

I will be at Stanford Hall next weekend with them both if you fancy the run down, not too far to go and is a really good show. I don't seem to make it to many of the local classic shows as I never hear about them until its too late, but if I do plan to go to one nearby I'll let you know(y)

All of mine are noticeably lighter than any of the mk2's and others have commented too. Not that a mk2 is heavy - it's definitely not, just heavier! If yours aren't different I'd be interested in trying them. Maybe it's just that you haven't noticed, as you say. (y)

Edit: I'm pretty sure it's not the tyre width by the way, but a mk2 on 135's will feel a bit lighter.

I seem to remember mk2 reviews stating that the steering heft had changed in response to criticism that the mk1 steering became vague when pressing on.

I feel the steering on my car (mk2) is perfect, light enough without being vague. But that's just my personal preference :) it certainly is lighter now that I have the pizza cutter wheels on ;)

So after a bit of a delay because of a mix up at the powder coaters (they did someone elses wheels instead of mine!) the wheels are painted. I have had them blasted and primed with powder coat and then they have been painted in the original Fiat colour.

New tyres will be going on tomorrow and then we will be all set for Stanford(y)

The code is Fiat 286 and is called Avorio
Interesting,in the early 70's "avorio 286" was the specific colour only for fiat 130 coupe and dino cars like 308 gt4, more popular shade of ivory was "285 avorio safari" from fiat 124 spider, 850, 500 etc...I did not know, that this shade was used n the 80s on 4x4 rims:)(y) This is the colour of my 130 coupe :)
