Hi, I have been looking at a nice set of Fox racing 6 alloys which have come off a Stilo. Would these fit a mk2 sporting?

The tyres would be too big, but the alloys would fit with spacers.
I am getting the offset of the wheels. Tyres 215/45r 17.

205/40s are what you need.

Im going to try to pre-empt the offset. 
I reckon for a Stilo, 7x17, it will be 38mm.
Therefore 3mm spacers are needed on the front and 8mm spacers on the rear for it to fit a mk2.

Waiting to hear back about the offset. Will these tyres be no good at all then?

The tyres would be way too big.
Ideally the tyres should be 195/40 17s, but as these are very expensive most people make a small compromise and get 205/40 17s.
215/45s would throw the speedo out loads, make the car very slow, and probably would be too big to fit on in the first place.
If the tyres are in good nick, why not flog em on 'bay, and put the money towards some 205/40s?
