its on the back of the engine block, its actually pretty difficult to see/feel, its a little off centre towards the drivers side.

Thought I'd found it by the starter motor but obviously not. Might well have disturbed the wires recently while changing the long hose running round the back of the engine from the thermostat housing.
Washed up and about to drink now, but will check it out first thing tomorrow!

pretty likely in that case, its just above where the water pipe connects to the block
