Guys,

I know there has been a million posts on this subject but....I need to know for 100% Deffinate the thickness of the spacer required to be fitted between the std Cinq Sporting Manifold and Downpipe to accomodate the 1242's extra height!! The reson for this is that I am going to get a manifold to downpipe gasket from my local fiat dealer and get a stainless spacer machined at work to that pattern at the required thickness. I cant afford for the car to be off the road for more than a day well the Engine transplant takes place so I need the spacer to be SPOT-ON so my mechanic can simple remove the 1108 unit and fit in the 1242 unit using the spacer.

Can anyone who has carried out this conversion confirm the EXACT thickness of spacer required for the job???

Please help guys............????

Cheers

Andy

I use a 10mm spacer on the silver one, any longer and the lambda sensor will hit the crankcase. Makes sump - zorst clearance close, but it's an easier fix than having 3/4" welded into the downpipe (under the lambda).

Umm.....if this spacer needs to be 10mm as you guys have reccmended....would anyone else be interested in buying a spacer from me?? I could get a batch made out of steel for a really resonable price at work!!

Any takers??????

Cheers

Andy

HI, i used the punto manifold and downpipe without a single problem. Also just incase you havent thought ,the exaust manifold studs may be to short if you use a spacer. hope this helps. :)
