General 115 jtd revs up

Hi got a multipla cheap jtd car revs up by its self from start up to 3000 revs tryed the box trip in footwell with no joy do I just replace it or is there another way round car is 2002 and only started today

When you talk about the box trip in the footwell, do you mean the throttle potentiometer on the accelerator?

Do you mean that you've cleaned up the contacts on the connector in the footwell?

I'd try disconnecting the accelerator circuit completely, see what the revs do - at least that eliminates the potentiometer.
The other thing to do is check the connectors for the ECU, look for signs of corrosion and clean them if necessary.

Looks like some one has been chewing at the ecu mice etc not sure must be the sorce just gotta put the wires all bk together will update with how this goes
